Beef and Broccoli Ramen

Tender sirloin stir-fried with fresh broccoli and ramen noodles all coated with a garlicky gochujang & tamari sauce.

How much do we love beef and broccoli??? Tons! This is the stir fry everyone wants to have, its flavorfull, punchfull and fun keeping all your favorite flavors front forward on this meal. The tender steak, ramen noodles and broccoli are a combination made in heaven that is accentuated by one of our favorite ingredients: gochujang. Gochujang is a fermented chili paste that is a staple in korean cuisine because it bring a deapth of flavor into everything it touches! Make this stirfry tonight and enjoy it anytime, all the time.

Step 1: MISE EN PLACE

Read through entire recipe before getting started. Bring 4 cups salted water to a boil in a medium pot. Wash and dry all produce. Peel, then mince ginger (see ginger peeling instruction card). Mince or grate garlic.Cut broccoli into florets. Remove sirloin steak from package; rinse and pat dry.

Step 2: COOK RAMEN

Add ramen to boiling water, cook for 2-3 min, until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup cooking water; drain well and drizzle with a small amount of oil to reduce sticking.

Step 3: SEAR STEAK

Season steak with a pinch of salt and pepper on both sides. Place steak on hot, lightly oiled grill or sauté pan over medium- high heat with 1 tsp. oil. Sear 2-3 min per side until charred and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak from heat and place on a cutting board to rest. After steak has rested at least 1-2 min, slice against the grain into thin strips. USDA recommends cooking steak to an internal temperature of 145ºF.

Step 4: MAKE SAUCE

Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in previously used sauté pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1-2 min. Add gochujang sauce and 1/2 cup pasta water, bring to a simmer and cook simmering for another 1-2 min.

Step 5: TOSS RAMEN

Add ramen noodles, sliced steak, and broccoli to pan. Continue cooking and tossing continuously, about 2-3 min until incorporatred and coated in sauce. Remove from heat, add hoisin sauce and toss to incorporate.

Step 6: PLATE YOUR DISH

Divide stir fry between two plates. Enjoy!
