Crockpot Chili con Carne

Smokey, tender beef chili with kidney beans, fire roasted tomatoes and spices topped with sour cream and cheddar cheese.

Time: 6-8 hrs (crockpot time)

Simply, throw everything in the crockpot set it, go to work and voila you can come home to a magnificent smelling home and finish dinner. A small dollop of sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions will make this meal your go-to easy favorite.

Kidney beans
Fire roasted diced tomatoes
Chili blend
Onion
Green Onions
Grass Run Farms Ground Beef
Sour cream
Sharp cheddar cheese

Step 1: MISE EN PLACE

Read though the entire recipe before getting started. Wash and dry all produce. Peel onion and discard peel; then, small dice. Remove ends from green onions; then, thinly slice. Rinse kidney beans and drain. Remove ground beef from package; rinse and pat dry.

Step 2: FILL CROCKPOT

Place ground beef, kidney beans, chili seasoning, fire roasted tomatoes, onion, 3 cups water and a pinch of salt and pepper in crockpot over medium heat.

Step 3: COOK CHILI

Place in crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours.

Step 4: MIX WELL

Once cooked, stir well using a spoon or patula making sure to break any extra large chuncks of ground beef.

Step 5: FINISH CHILI

Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6: PLATE YOUR DISH

Top chili with sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions. Enjoy!
